The Hide Away Foraging Box Feeder is made of heavy duty polycarbonate. This toy hangs from the top of the cage and functions as a stand alone feeder, or use the cardboard box sleeve to hide the feeder for some foraging fun! Two sleeves are already included. Extra replacement cardboard sleeve refills are available (see Item Code 96-00757). This is a perfect foraging toy for Budgies, Cockatiels, and similar sized small birds.
Birds can be introduced at an easy level, without any sleeve covering at first. Once they know there's food in the toy, you can start covering it with the sleeves provided for them to work more for their food. Your clever bird will need to chew open the cardboard box to access the rewards inside! The cardboard sleeves come with various perforated openings that you can remove as 'windows' to the food inside, another great way to adjust the difficulty as your bird learns!
